JACK LOCKERY OUTSTANDING LINEMAN AWARD
Awarded annually at the end-of-season banquet.
Coach Jack Lockery was a former football coach, teacher and guidance counselor at Stamford High School. This award was named for him in the 1980’s, but was somehow lost among the several coaching changes in the late eighties and the 1990’s.
We re-introduced this award in 2006, thanks to the efforts of John Kuczo, our league director, and a family friend of Coach Lockery.
This award shall be presented each year to the offensive or defensive lineman that best exhibits the determination necessary to grind it out in the trenches, and to play every down as if it were his last.
