The Regular Season is always followed by the "Banquet Season", where players receive recognition for outstanding performances during the season. For the sixth time in the last seven seasons, a Black Knight was honored at the CHSCA All-State Banquet.

The banquet, held in January at the Aquaturf Club in Southington, featured every All-State player from across the state. Stamford was represented by Wide Receiver Josh Maignan (shown at right with his parents), a two-time All-FCIAC player and the team's leading receiver in both 2006 and 2007

The entire Black Knight Football Family would like to say congratulations, Josh! We are proud of you.

Annual Team Banquet

The entire team gathered at the Stamford Italian Center last Thursday to say goodbye to the 2007 seniors and distribute the annual post-season awards. We had a great evening that featured many jokes and even more laughter. A special thanks goes out to the Gridiron Club for doing a wonderful job of organizing the evening.

Some Highlights from the evening:

16 total players received Academic Achievement Awards.

Junior Connor Whitely received the 2007 Scholar-Athlete Award.

Senior Chris Piotrowski received the 2007 Coaches Award.

Senior Sunny Fleurimond received the 2007 Unsung Hero Award.

Senior Adam Godlewski received the 2007 Jack Lockery Outstanding Lineman Award.

Senior T.J. Mills received the 2007 Aswad Tonge Black & Orange Award.

Senior Andrew Burlin received the 2007 Jason Lorenti Spirit Award.

Senior Josh Maignan received the 2007 Most Valuable Player Award.

We look forward to 2008!
